Orange pekoe is not a type of tea, but a grade. Grades of tea range from the lowest, called “Dust,” to the highest grade of all, which contains whole, unbroken tea leaves and the flowers of the tea plant, and is called “Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe.” Seriously. Try fitting that on a little tea bag label.
