Aly Sanguily, the marketing director and tasting room manager for Roaring Fork Beer Company (RFBC), recently debuted a new “project,” Batch, in Carbondale. Located in a 107-year-old building on Main Street, the 75-seat space is what the native Texan describes as “a living room-library speakeasy, with a little Texas charm.” Twelve of the 24 taps will feature exclusive seasonal brews like Grilled Meyer Lemon and Rosehip Saison and tequilabarrel- aged Imperial IPA, as well as year-round offerings from RFBC (head brewer is Sanguily’s husband, Chase Engel—a 2017 Edible Aspen Local Hero winner). Other hard-to-find Colorado craft beers are from Carbondale’s Idylwilde Brewing Company and Glenwood’s Casey Brewing & Blending; there will also be wine from Denver’s Infinite Monkey Theorem. Teetotalers can cool off with kombucha from Elevated Elixirs and sodas from Carbondale Soda Company. Line your stomach with bites from Town and Phat Thai; Sundays Blues Brunches include live music, a “Bloody beer and mimosa bar” and a locally sourced brunch buffet by Mark Hardin of Field 2 Fork Kitchen.
