The Burger from Stoneyridge Fridge

Finding the perfect bite after midnight in Aspen is possible thanks to Bryan and Eric Bennett and their eatery Stoneyridge Fridge.

The menu is all about comfort food with plenty of savory and sweet. Under the heading “Munchies” you can select from a four-cheese quesadilla, boneless chicken wings and house-made French toast sticks. The prices are better than reasonable: The highest is a burger with pulled pork for $15, but breakfasts and a new line of sandwiches are priced at $9 or less.

The brothers began operations in the winter of 2012–13 for delivery-only out of the kitchen of Johnny McGuire’s, opening at 8 p.m. each night, after the popular sandwich shop closed for the day. When Johnny McGuire’s closed up for good, Stoneyridge Fridge took over the space across from City Market, added counter service and started serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are open from 9 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Their location is slated for redevelopment, but who knows what that means in Aspen. Stop by 703 E. Cooper, or give them a call at 970.456.2767.
