- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
- Dijon mustard, to taste
- Finely chopped fresh herbs such as tarragon, thyme or marjoram
- Kosher salt, to taste
1. Place butter in a small bowl and using a spoon in a whisking motion, slowly add other ingredients until desired flavor is achieved.
2. Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap, and add butter in a log shape down its length at the end closest to you. Roll butter into a tube shape, taking care to roll up the plastic with it. Twist ends, and chill until ready to use.
