A hit during the pandemic summer of 2020, expanded outdoor dining has returned to Basalt one year later. Restaurants in downtown Basalt and at Willits can accommodate more patrons outside by expanding into the street, thanks to barriers that block off parking spaces.

Craft Coffee House has moved—just a few doors down—to 160 Midland Ave.

Capitol Creek Brewery is under new ownership, and the purchase—by the same owners as Aspen Brewing Company—brings with it a new chef, Gerald Andres, and elevated menu.

And The Arts Campus at Willits’ new Contemporary Center for the Performing Arts features an all-electric catering/teaching kitchen—a locus for culinary arts programming—plus a café/bar area and outdoor bar that will make the new building a community gathering hub.
