Oskar Blues
Last Updated June 01, 2016

Why We Love It: When Dale Katechis started his modest brewpub in 1997, few suspected Oskar Blues would change American beer history. Dale’s Pale Ale was the first canned craft beer; today it’s emulated by craft producers nationwide (forget looks; it’s more sustainable in every sense of the word). Try GABF medalist Mama’s Lil’ Yella Pils or G’Knight—an aromatic, full-bodied double-red IPA. OB’s aesthetic epitomizes the Colorado lifestyle, as does its commitment to community, including brewery-hosted music festivals and a chain of eateries.
