Next Stop, Hotchkiss
SHOP
Former farmworkers Emma Stopher-Griffin and Matthew Kottenstette launched their distribution company, Farm Runners, out of Hotchkiss four years ago, as a way to supply local foods to regional restaurants, including Aspen Skiing Company’s on-mountain eateries. Now, you can purchase farm-fresh products on your own at the couple’s new brick-and-mortar shop in Hotchkiss. The Station opened in June and offers only Colorado-grown or -made products, most of which come from the Western Slope. Look for baked goods, housemade takeaway items, produce, meat and dairy from Zephyros Farm, Two Roots Farm, Wild Mountain Seeds, Ela Family Farms, Happy Hogs, Western Culture Farmstead and Rocking W Cheese. Can’t make it over the pass? Sign up for Farm Runners' new CSA, which has three drop locations in the Roaring Fork Valley. For hours and more information, visit FarmRunners.com.
