New Guide Maps Out Local Foodshed
Five local tourism organizations released The Roaring Fork + Farm Map, a visitor guide designed to give users a greater connection to the food on their plate and the local terroir through farms and ranch experiences. Illustrated by Carbondale artist Sarah Uhl, the guide includes maps and information on the food heritage of each town—Aspen, Snowmass Village, Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs—along with attractions and events related to the local foodshed, including restaurants and retailers that are local food champions, local spirits and brews, and markets. The printed guide is available at the five towns’ visitor centers, many local lodges and businesses, and ten Colorado welcome centers across the state.
