As early as 1885, beer was brewing in Aspen, CO. The first brewery, named Sanders after its founder, was located on Mill Street, adjacent to the Roaring Fork River and likely brewed just one style of beer. In March of 2008, the Aspen Brewing Company opened, bringing craft beer back to Aspen. The first location for “The Brewery” as the Company has come to be known, was situated just across the Roaring Fork River from the site of Aspen’s original Sanders Brewery. In honor of The Brewery’s 10th anniversary, this History on Tap will explore the history behind brewing beer in Aspen, from Sanders to Flying Dog to today’s craft beer scene. The program will include a tour of Aspen Brewing Company’s brewing facility, where today they craft over 15 small batch microbrews, downstream from nobody.

This event is $20 in advance.  Your ticket includes one beer and additional beers may be purchased there for $5.  There is limited capacity so advanced RSVPS are required.

Call 970-925-3721 to reserve a spot.
