Denver's Larimer Square

Move over, Italy. The second North American Slow Food Nations conference and festival is coming to Denver July 14–16 (the first was in San Francisco in 2008). Featuring national leaders in the heritage food movement and sustainable agriculture—including farmers, chefs, food artisans and educators—the weekend will be packed with tastings, talks, panels, workshops, classes, tours and ticketed events like a “Colorado-made Block Party.” The event will put Colorado-grown, -made and -raised food and drink in the national spotlight. The general public will have free access to the Taste Marketplace, featuring over 100 exhibitors who will share their stories, sample and sell their products, as well as international pavilions at Denver Union Station and Larimer Square; panels and other fee-based events are also open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
